Please just stop by Psyko-Kinetics Please just stop by Psyko-Kinetics
THINGS I AM PERSONALLY AGAINST:
Idiots taking pictures of their junk in their Mom's basement, whores spreading their legs to the world as if this was a porn site advert.
THINGS I AM PERSONALLY NOT AGAINST:
Tasteful or artistic nudity in some way, shape or form, the human form when being taken care of.

I'm also the person who made the "Nudity does not always equal porn stamp".
I DIDN'T JUST MAKE THAT STAMP FOR FUNSIES PEOPLE.

I do believe nudity can be beautiful, but goddamn people, there is a difference between artistic nudity, pornography, and idiots taking pictures of their genitals because they think it's totally hot cool.
Every time I go to the Artistic Nude section or whatever, I get slapped in the face with 1000 old man dicks, bondage porn, girls being total sluts while thinking HEY IT'S ART LOLOL I'M NOT A WHORE.
I know what they're aiming for, but uh. It's kind of creepy.
If I wanted to see this shit I'd go to a porn site.
And my reports on blatant pornography get tossed aside like they're fine :V
It has been said before but...
It's deviantART.
Not deviantPORN.

edit: And I realize that a lot of things on this website in my/your/his/her/whatever's eyes isn't art.
Hah, this is a tad hypocritical, yes, but there are specific categories for things that are deviantART (in terms of website) like stamps.
Not everything on here is art and I know that.
Still shouldn't be amateur, digital cellphone-quality camera taken porno.
This is my opinion.
I'm not asking for you to believe or die.

I agree. Once I looked into the "Newest" Section and all I found was nothing but porn images of some people's private parts. Immediately after that I left the section and since then I have avoided the "Newest" Section, and even adoptables aren't safe. But seriously, the amount of porn on here is too much.

i agree. i actually watch a handful of artists who post some amazing artistic nudes(some actually in photograph form) and whenever i look for some more decent things i just find a bunch of blurry pictures of some minor's junk or something. it's pretty irritating sometimes,

Yeah, stop putting shit we like to look at and calling it art, but make sure you post "messages" in gifs that aren't even art to do it. LOL

yeah, tiny difference you conveniently forgot about: one is actually submitted as art in art categories, the other is submitted as NON-ART in an appropriate category that was actually made for this, unlike the porn we find in the nudity category.

some art has nudity but not all nudity is art [specifically when it defies the most respectable definitions of art], art uses nudity, doesn;t get overwhelmed by it, doesn't have sexual arousal as the only possible intent and outcome, period.

it's not an elitist thing, it's just that the internet made life a mess. before the internet, did anyone EVER try and pass porn for art? NOPE. now, every stick figure or boob close up is art. bullshit.

sorry ut it's true, though. porn has never been considered art ever before, now thanks to deviantart's policy of gimmeyourmoneys, people like you buy it.

Finally, someone who agrees with me.
Even though sometimes it disgusts me to see artistic nudity, it really pisses me off when I see photos of these kinds. It's kinda rude and disgusting. Not to mention offensive.

Agreed!

I think the proper way to use nudity in an artistic way is to not make it the focus of the picture, but have the model with props, a bit of clothes, or makeup, a nice background, something interesting, and have them be showing off their curves or body in a mature fashion, not just plastering vagina pics everything.

i agree. when i see these pics and art i want to see emotion in the movement of the person or some connection between the nudes. not just blatant smut photos. if i want that i can go to a porno site too. this is an art site. i'm not putting down smut. i LOVE slash smut. but it's a relief to be able to come to deviantart and find beautiful work. SO MUCH TALENT HERE!

You seem a tad uptight about this. I agree with your basic premise, but I get this vibe that you may be a bit prudish as well. I like a lot of bondage art because it's a groove I can get into, but it seems like you may see some fetishes being displayed artistically and disliking it because you don't enjoy said fetish (there is sexual art, by the by). Now, I'll concede the point that there are a lot of very lazy images or pornographic pieces, so that's where I agree with you, but I'm damn-near certain that you and I would disagree about the line separating the art/porn categories.

...You deserve every fucking award for this. :iconclapplz:

I enjoy tasteful nudes, if you actually know what you're doing and need certain parts of the body showing in your piece, then by all means, show them. What I fucking hate is seeing cellphone shots of girl's duckfacing in a mirror with their sloppy tits hanging out, and guys whipping their dicks out in front of a camera in the same category as beautiful nude photos that actually took time and effort.

I do agree with this stamp...however, it would be 1000x time better if you could stop being such a slut-shaming prick. Sure, those girls might be in need of attention, but I don't like your way of using the word 'slut' or 'whore'. Geez, woman aren't made of wood and them expressing their sexuality doesn't make them sluts! Oh and lastly, bondage picture aren't necessarily porn. Some of them can be very artistic!

I have no problem with pictures of women in underwear, I think it is rather beautiful and cute depending on what they look like. If it is a picture drawn mildly of a character in a sexual way, then I think it is okay, as long as the picture was made for a few laughs. But when pathetic sluts post pictures of their vaginas or dicks, then I get disgusted and pissed off. I wish that deviantart would remove the artistic nude section (sextion). Most of the shit in there is pornography posted by sick fucks with no life, they put it on there expecting to get compliments from 50 year old men. Artistic nude is 90% pornography and NOT ART!

Go to "Artistic Nudes".
Only a small percent is art, the rest are whores taking pictures of their naked bodies with their phones, JUST to get attention.

I'm bit of a perv, but even I KNOW not to make porn nude pics. I take that somewhere. I (when getting better at it) make tasteful nude art of my OCs mimicing an old art that was nude or being shrouded by something. But when people make "art" or themselves looking like a whore is just UGH! Doesn't seem like art to me; more like pornography.

Thank you so much for this! The other night I was browsing the 'artistic' nude area, and lets just say . . . what has been seen cannot be unseen.
I have seen great, actual artistic nudes before. But just taking a picture of your dick and posting it here is gross. Or girls who take slutty naked photos and then they DEMAND the comments be appropriate. Ugh. Just Ugh.

I agree. When I happen to come across a picture of a human or non-human (e.g. an anthro) either partially or completely without clothing, I always look for the symbolism behind the nudity (vulnerability, purity, essence, or some other kind of raw emotion), because that helps validate its artistic merit. Nudity for the sake of nudity is almost always unfounded.
